The Schermerhorn Row Block

2-18 Fulton Street, 189-195 Front Street, 159-171 John Street, 91-92 South Street. Constructed between 1811 and 1850. These were originally warehouses and counting-houses, and then were altered in the 1800s to provide food and drink to the crowds that started coming after the Fulton Ferry from Brooklyn began docking here. This block was restored in 1983 by Jan Hird Pokorny. More info found on page 33 of your AIA guide.

HOW TO GET THERE: Take the A, C, J, M, Z, 2, 3, 4, or 5 to Fulton Street and then start walking east. This particular block is on the southeast side of the pedestrian mall.
