Titanic Memorial Lighthouse
This is at the entrance to the South Street Seaport, on Fulton Street between Pearl and Water Streets. The structure was originally placed on top of the Seamen's Church Institute Building on South Street and actually functioned as a lighthouse until 1968, when the Church Institute was demolished. The lighthouse structure was then reerected in 1976. It's pretty adorable. More info on page 31 of the AIA guide.
HOW TO GET THERE: Take the A, C, J, M, Z, 2, 3, 4, or 5 to Fulton Street and then start walking east.

This was one of the 1st Dropping Balls (like Times Square) that signalled Noon to the folks in the Harbor.
